How Wearth Began: Building an Indian Brand Rooted in Sustainability

At Wearth, our journey began with a simple yet significant observation—the discomfort of polyester activewear during workouts. Like many fitness enthusiasts in India, we were frustrated with how synthetic fabrics felt against the skin. Polyester, a staple in activewear, was widely available but came with glaring flaws. Beyond its discomfort in India’s hot and humid climate, we became aware of its environmental downsides: its petroleum-based origins, microplastic pollution, and inability to biodegrade.

Driven by the need for a better solution, we began researching alternatives. This led us to discover TENCEL™, a revolutionary fabric made from sustainably sourced wood fibers. Its silky softness, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties were everything polyester was not. Most importantly, it aligned with our values—offering a high-performance material that didn’t compromise on sustainability.

What started as a personal need grew into a mission. We realized that India lacked an activewear brand that combined functionality, comfort, and eco-consciousness. With this gap in mind, we founded Wearth, a brand dedicated to reimagining activewear for a new generation of conscious consumers.

Every piece of Wearth activewear reflects our commitment to sustainability and performance. By choosing TENCEL™ and ethical production practices, we aim to offer not just apparel but a mindset shift—proving that what you wear can empower you and support the planet simultaneously.

As we continue to grow, our purpose remains clear: to inspire movement and sustainability, helping people live healthier lives while making a positive impact on the earth. Wearth isn’t just about wearing the earth; it’s about moving the change.
